It has a different USB connection (which I can also confirm is a standard USB Mini-B connector) and I simply lopped the end off the old Ford cable and spliced in a USB Mini-B plug! There is a cable you can buy from Ford but I saved myself £35 by making one up myself. I can confirm that the module 8M5T-19C112-AP (from a 2011 Focus) works 100% with a Mk4 Mondeo and the Blaupunkt TravelPilot NX sat nav headunit. Thanks for all your help, Mondeo_hopeful, really appreciate itįor the purposes of anyone Googling or searching the forums for this: Would really like to be able to play music off a USB stick though!! If it's too much, I'll have to forget it and stick the old Focus module back in as that worked fine. Perhaps Ford can reflash it? Any ideas on ballpark cost to do this? Would they do it under goodwill as the car is only 2 months out of warranty? There is definitely power to the module as my USB stick starts flashing when it's inserted!

Is there a way I can flash the module myself given that I can't initiate one of Ford's updates via the USB socket because the car can't communicate with the module? Plugged it in and when I press 'Phone', it simply mutes the radio which I think means the car doesn't have communication with the module. Today, I decided to dig out the original module from the Mondeo (8M5T-19G488-AK) to try and get it working. Trouble is, the Bluetooth and USB hasn't worked on my car since I bought it (second hand) and I simply plugged in a generic Bluetooth module from my old Focus that I happened to have laying around (!) and that has worked fine. I have the TravelPilot NX sat nav system and Bluetooth with USB factory-fit on my Mondeo.
